In case you missed it, this was my top Instagram post last week. In today's video, I go into a little more depth as to why carbohydrates are so important for our brains and bodies.
One mistake I made in this video that I wanted to clarify is that our brains need a minimum of 120 grams of carbs per day to function properly. That is the equivalent of FOUR cups of pasta or FOUR cups of rice (NOT EIGHT CUPS). So sorry for that mistake. I think I was just on a roll with the number eight! Haha! 8 slices of bread is, however, correct. This just goes to show that low carb diets are NOT what is best for our brains in particular, and your mood will definitely be impacted when not consuming enough.
